What Women And Men Love About Being Single

Being single is often seen as something to be pitied. But this view is completely wrong because you can lead a happy life without a partner by your side. We’ll tell you what women and men love about being single and what advantages there are to going through life alone sometimes.

Whether it’s our fault or our will, for a long or short period, everyone is single sooner or later in their life. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing because life without a partner offers numerous advantages. Many studies have even found that both women and men like being alone and would only enter into a relationship again if they found the right person.

Lisa Fischbach, single coach at “ElitePartner,”  also knows: “Single phases have positive sides. Especially if the last relationship was experienced as unhappy or restrictive. The prerequisite for a joyful single life: the last separation has been dealt with. Many people then experience concentrating primarily on themselves, their own needs and interests, without compromises and consideration, as positive independence.”

The dating agency “ElitePartner” wanted to know exactly what women and men love about being single. For the study, “ElitePartner” surveyed over 4,000 singles. We’ll tell you the results.

Free and independent

No obligations, being able to do whatever you want, and making your own decisions without having to consider anyone else: three-quarters of the singles surveyed said that the best thing about being single was being free and independent. This doesn’t just apply to men, who are often said to want to enjoy their freedom, unlike women. We women also think it’s good to just do what we like.

Just go out with friends or go away for the weekend? 40 percent of those surveyed see it as an advantage to have more time for friends and hobbies. Many studies show that singles have a better social network than couples. Single women and men also find it positive that they are more open to making new contacts and friends without a partner.

Single men like to flirt.

Being able to flirt whenever and with whomever you want is something that men see as an advantage of being single: 38 percent of them enjoy not having to restrict themselves compared to other women because of a partner. In contrast, only one in four women loves this aspect of being single. Women (22%), on the other hand, value being able to lounge around on the sofa in a shabby manner without their partners noticing.

Another advantage for women is sleeping alone. Numerous studies have already found that women prefer to spend the night without a partner and are better off doing so. Only one in ten men shares the joy of sleeping alone.
