Many fans have wondered how Jenna Dewan felt about her ex-husband moving on so quickly with Jessie J- and the actress is finally speaking out.
Jenna, who’s currently expecting a child with her boyfriend Steve Kazee, opened up about the subject in her new book Gracefully You: How to Live Your Best Life Every Day. In fact, she implied that she learned about her estranged husband’s new relationship from the media. “I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn’t have to face – and over the internet, as it was happening,” the celebrity wrote.
The mother-of-one continued, “There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship. I felt blindsided. Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult.”
Jenna and Channing were married in 2009 and share one child, 6-year old daughter Everly. The couple announced last year they were filing for divorce, and although they’ve submitted the paperwork, they’re currently waiting for a judge to finalize their split.
Both celebs moved on very quickly, though. Channing went public with his relationship with Jessie J mere weeks after their split, while Jenna was spotted holding hands with Steve Kazee a month later.
Of her new romance, Jenna explained, “When I was ready, I started dating someone amazing. It was this cosmically great thing where we circled back around each other after a moment of instant recognition years ago.” Steve Kazee is a Tony-award winning actor and singer. The new couple first confirmed their pregnancy news to People. “We are beyond overjoyed and couldn’t be happier to be expanding our family!” They told the publication.
A source told the magazine things are moving fast between the couple despite being together for less than a year. “Jenna’s relationship with Steve is very serious, “an insider gushed. “So many things had to work for her to even consider dating again. And everything has clicked with Steve.”
They continued, “[Steve] is very supportive of her as a mom. He is amazing with Everly. Jenna loves having Steve around. She feels very lucky to be dating him.”
We can only imagine how tough Channing and Jenna’s divorce has been on them, but we’re glad to see the celebs happy and moving on with different partners. Plus, who else thinks that Jenna and Steve are going to make one beautiful baby?
