10 Early Signs of a Dying Relationship. Check Yourself! Calling this day the end of your relationship, in which you have invested a lot of your time, effort, and emotions, is very difficult for any person, and no one can tell you what is the right thing to do for you.
What we can do is tell you about some of the signs that may indicate that your relationship is over and that it may finally be time to call it quits.
1. You lie to each other
You just wouldn’t want to hide the truth from someone you care about, so if you start telling lies, even small ones, there’s probably a deeper reason for it. In many cases, the lie may be completely unimportant, but it’s still a sign that you know you’ve cared about the other person long enough to even care that you’re lying to them.
2. There is no longer intimacy in the relationship
Physical intimacy is not everything and it does not mean the end for many couples, but for most couples, if there is no lovemaking at all, then it is a clear sign that your relationship is over.
Physical intimacy brings people together and is an expression of their love for each other, and if it has completely disappeared from the relationship or has become nothing more than a routine, then most likely one or both partners are no longer committed to the relationship.
3. You need to convince yourself that the relationship works.
Often, we are our own worst enemies when a relationship ends because we simply don’t want to believe it’s happening. If you need to convince yourself that things will get better, then maybe it’s time to listen to your heart and face the truth.
4. You keep arguing about the same thing
When you constantly argue about things and never seem to come to a resolution, it may be a sign that neither one of you is willing to compromise or even try to end the argument.
A stalemate is a sign that the relationship is no longer a priority, and it is one of the strong warning signs that a relationship is over.
5. There is no trust in the relationship
Anyone can get a little jealous sometimes, but if one of you has resorted to checking your partner’s phone or constantly asking the other person where they’ve been or what they’ve been doing, then any trust they may have had has gone out the window. Without real trust in a relationship, you’re not going to make it.
6. You avoid spending time together
You don’t have to spend all your time with your partner, but if you find yourself intentionally trying to avoid them, then this is a clear sign that the relationship is ending.
It’s not always as obvious as it may seem; perhaps you decide to do everything yourself or feel relieved when you know your partner won’t be home when you are.
7. You stopped having fun together
If you’ve stopped doing fun things together, it’s a sign that you prefer to be apart. You may still sit in the same room together, but there’s no more laughter or jokes, and you never plan to go out. This is one of the clear warning signs that the relationship is over.
8. You exclude each other from parts of your lives.
When you’re in a committed relationship, you still have your circle of friends and your activities, but they often merge with the life you have with your partner.
If you don’t tell each other anything about your life outside the relationship, then you start to build completely separate lives, and this is another clear sign that the relationship is over.
