Men Show Their Love Differently

We all know only too well how complicated it can be with men and women and love. It is not uncommon for the behavior of our loved ones to be a great mystery to us. Does he love me? And why doesn’t he show it? The answer from American psychologists: Men show their love differently.

There are numerous discussions about men and women and love, whether among scientists, psychologists, in the media,, or at girls’ nights. While women would like to reveal their feelings to the whole world, men are less likely to show their love. A study from the USA has now shown men reveal their love differently.

Declarations of love, little notes, sweet WhatsApp messages,, or tenderness: women in love like to show their feelings directly; after all, the person they love should also know about our love. It is therefore clear that we naturally assume that our partner has to show us his love in the same way. But this is where the big mistake lies because, as a study has now found, men simply show their love differently.

Women announce feelings

For the study, American psychologists surveyed newlywed couples immediately after the wedding, after the first two years, and after thirteen years of marriage. The study showed that men and women have roughly the same level of feelings for each other. However, they differ significantly in how they show their love for their partner: women are the emotional part of the relationship, create a loving atmosphere, say “I love you”, give compliments and declarations of love and show interest in their partner through words.

Men do not express feelings.

And this is where the big difference lies compared to the world of men, because men express their love less in direct words or romantic gestures but show their feelings through actions. Whether it’s spending a lot of free time with their partner, helping her with housework or other things, or supporting her when she needs them. But these everyday gestures are rarely seen by women as proof of love; they need compliments and affection.

The study also showed that men who love their wives are more likely to take the initiative in having sex. For the scientists, this is an indication that love and sex are more closely connected for men than for women.

Dear girls, don’t worry if your lover doesn’t constantly shower you with affection and declarations of love. The problem isn’t that men have fewer feelings; they just often find it difficult to express them. Instead, pay attention to the small everyday gestures and learn to appreciate them.
